Middle Eastern turquoise usually appears in a black matrix while mines in Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado, usually appears in a white or brown one.

 

Turquoise comes in unique shades of blue and green and possesses a tranquil quality. The delicate veining or mottled webbing in cream or brown is inherent to the stone and serves to enhance its character.
