The prime requisite for a gemstone is that it must be beautiful. However, if you're looking for spiritual or protective energies, gemstones can help. Here's a list of the gemstones I most commonly use in my jewelry designs.
GEMSTONES: A BRIEF HISTORY
Gemstones have attracted humans but in particularly women since ancient times and are at the heart of jewelry. Also called gem, fine gem, jewel, precious stone, or semi-precious stone, gemstones are a piece of mineral crystal which, in cut and polished form, is used to make jewelry or other adornments.
The prime requisite for a gemstone is that it must be beautiful. However, throughout history gemstones were regarded by many civilizations as miraculous and believed to possess mysterious powers.
Some believed that gemstones could heal physical, spiritual or emotional ailments, while others believed that each gemstone had a different protective power.
In modern times, there are many who believe can aid in spiritual, emotional and physical ailments and growth and protect from negative. Gemstones are not meant to replace scientific medicine but rather aid through their natural vibrations.
